VOTE November 5, 2019
I am a lifelong Muskie! I grew up in New Concord and graduated from John Glenn High School in 1999. While a student at JGHS, I served as Editor of the Jon Jee (newspaper), Co-Editor of the Apogee (yearbook), President of National Honor Society, and President of our FFA Chapter. I chose at a young age to use my voice to lead and to champion change for the betterment of my community.
I graduated from Muskingum University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Affairs and worked in the Public Relations Office at Muskingum throughout my four years as a student. I began my career at The Fabri-Form Company when I graduated from college. I met my husband, Brian, while working at Fabri-Form. We celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary this year. We have been entrepreneurs since Brian started our first business in 2008. We currently own multiple manufacturing companies.
I had the privilege of serving on the New Concord Area Board of Trade for nine years and led the group as President for eight of those years. I work as a member of the Board of Directors for the Museum Association of East Muskingum, which operates The John and Annie Glenn Museum as well as The National Road Zane Grey Museum. I am proud of the work I’ve been able to do over the last nine years promoting these great local educational facilities.
This is the third year that I have been able to work as a substitute teacher for our school district. I enjoy my time in the classroom with the children of our community. This opportunity has given me insight as to what resources teachers of our District need to better serve our children. I am honored to work with our District to create our Annual Report / District Calendar and District Newsletters to help share information with the community. I believe informed voters make better decisions for their community, so I intend to continue sharing facts.
I am now a member of the LMIS Parent Association. While serving as President of Perry Elementary School’s PTO from 2017-2019, I worked hard with the other members of that group to raise money for Perry to support the needs of that school.
Brian and I chose to make our home and raise our children in this great community. I’d like to dedicate my skills and time to make East Muskingum School District the premier school district in east central Ohio. My goal is Excellence in Education at East Muskingum.
I am a devoted mother with lifelong roots in this community, and I am seeking your vote on November 5, 2019 for East Muskingum School Board.
